REPARATIONS!!!

Good Morning Blog Mates,

The bible tells us that a man is worthy of his wages, the forefathers who proclaimed to be "christians" violated this scripture along with the many others that they interpeted to suit their arrogance and greediness. The UN is now talking about reparations for African Americans, please somebody tell me how many times this can has been kicked down the road.

As I thought about this subject, I could not help "feeling some kinda way" as the young people would put it. In the 100 plus years that slavery has been abolished and the promise of 100 acres and a mule, NOTHING has been done to compensate the group of people that were not only kidnapped from their country but tortured to build a country that does not even to this day want to recognize as valuable citizens.

It is a travesty that the Native Americans who they stole the country from and the African Americans, who they used and abused to build this nation are so lowly thought about or considered when it comes to the history of these United States. While folks may want to say that giving reparations would be like giving a handout they really need to take the time to consider the contributions that our people made to this great nation.

One of the problems that society has with our current President, is that those that came and took over this country so long ago never had any intentions for "us" to truly be created equal. the truth of the matter is in their eyes we were property to be bought and sold just like cattle. another scripture that comes to mind is how the

bible also tells us to "study to show ourselves approved' meaning don't just accept what you are being told without doing your research and research shows that Barack Obama was NOT the first African American President, he just happens to be the one who changed the "status quo" when it comes to the color dynamics on that portrait wall. Check your history people.

See there can never be any amount of money that will make up nor justisfy what was stolen from our ancestors, however should they ever decide to make good on their promise of reparations, let 'us' remember the true price that was paid.
